#case study
European Job Days (EJD) are Europe-wide online and onsite recruitment fairs matching job seekers with employers across borders and nationalities. When the European Employment Services and the European Commission wanted to grow and expand their offering across Europe in a way which would extend accessibility and enhance the user experience, they turned to WAAT for help.
When we joined the EJD team, the website was relatively small and not very user friendly. We went to work developing a range of new functionalities to make it more attractive and tailored to the user needs, including dedicated user dashboards, intuitive job application forms, an advanced interview scheduling system and tools to enable the automated managing of multiple events. We also introduced live streaming to increase the reach and engagement of their events.
To ensure the project was conducted efficiently and effectively, we held daily internal meetings, as well as weekly reviews and website demos with clients. The project was organised and tracked through tickets in Assembla and because of our agile approach, we were able to nimbly adjust the project based on feedback from the client. Physical events are attended by our portable video broadcasting unit, which is adjusted for each event to suit size and brief.
Since WAAT’s involvement, EJD has seen a sharp increase in the number of job seekers and employers registered on the platform. It has also led to the personal transformation of numerous individuals who have been able to find employment in cross-border locations across Europe. We continue to support European Job Days with website updates, event recording and live streaming services.
